Tawabiry, on the street

Our first barbershop since the new pilot, a team call, and a post riding the underwater-cartoon trend. Super Pumped, the Uber series, taught us as much as any playbook: the clashes, the culture, and how fast a company can go rogue.

How lessons work

  1. Intro callWe talk about level, syllabus and exam date. Parents join for students under 18.
  2. A planA week-by-week plan mapped to your syllabus, shared before the first lesson.
  3. LessonsShort concept blocks, then hands-on practice with starter and finished files.
  4. ProgressPast-paper practice, and a short progress note after every lesson.

Formats

One-on-one, online or in person in Maadi. Small groups for classmates on the same syllabus. Workshops for schools, universities and teams.

For parents

Students under 18 are booked by a parent or guardian, who joins the intro call. You see the plan before the first lesson and get a short progress note after every lesson.

Which syllabuses do you cover?

Cambridge IGCSE ICT (0417) and Computer Science (0478), and first-year university ICT and programming courses. Ask if yours is different.

Are lessons in English or Arabic?

Either, or a mix. Exam answers are practised in English, the language you'll write them in.

Can you do my assignment for me?

No. I'll help you understand it and practise similar problems, so the graded work stays yours.

RAVEN GP

GUC's autonomous racing team, started after our 3rd place in Europe at IEEE Roboracer 2025. Three identical 3D-printed chassis, a RealSense depth camera and our own power board.

1 of 78 teams

Accepted from 163 applicants, the only team from Africa. We got in on our interviews and the Roboracer result. The season ended at the qualification round on 9 March 2026.

THE CUSTOMS BATTLE

80 days, then our own car

The Bosch car was held at Cairo Cargo Village, misclassified as spare parts. NTRA approved it after 63 days and an appeal. The National Security approval didn't arrive in time, so we built our own car from local parts and sent the original back to Bosch in Romania.

We raced as MechaByte, under GIU Berlin: 1st in Germany, 3rd in Europe. RAVEN GP started straight after.

The car, part by part

The RAVEN GP car for the Bosch Future Mobility Challenge 2026: a 3D-printed chassis, a Raspberry Pi 4B or Jetson, an Arduino RP2040 Connect, an Intel RealSense D435 depth camera, a 9-axis IMU and our own RAVEN power board.

  1. Wheels and tyres: Four, with the front pair steered.
  2. 3D-printed chassis: Ours. We printed three identical ones.
  3. Drive motor: Drives the wheels.
  4. Steering servo: Turns the front wheels.
  5. Battery pack: Powers the motor and the electronics.
  6. RAVEN power board: Our own board: one battery in, clean rails out.
  7. Raspberry Pi 4B or Jetson: The Brain: a Python state machine over WebSockets.
  8. Arduino RP2040 Connect: The Spine: embedded control in C++.
  9. 9-axis IMU: Heading and acceleration for the controller.
  10. Intel RealSense D435: The Eyes: depth and colour for lanes, signs and cars.

2024 was my first edition. In 2025 I got the event's boxes out of customs. This year I'm lead organiser.

JOURNEY

How I got here.

Every side hustle before code taught me to sell, save and ship. Then I bet the savings on a bootcamp.

  1. AGE 12
    Loom bands

    Bought good bands cheap and sold them mid-market, under the expensive sellers. It ended when the trend did.

  2. GRADE 7
    Clay phone cases

    Custom polymer-clay phone cases, with the clay imported.

  3. GRADE 10
    Beats

    Produced music on phone apps, saved 2,140 EGP for my first MIDI keyboard, and sold beats. Some clients never paid.

  4. GRADES 10–11
    Fiverr

    Photography and Lightroom retouching. Opened Payoneer and PayPal and took a Photoshop course; the fees ate most of it.

  5. GRADE 11
    A Canon M50

    Saved for it by marking Year 9 maths for my old IGCSE teacher and covering a friend's shift. I still shoot with it.

  6. MAY 2022
    Frontend Simplified

    Chose the bootcamp over everything else. Up at 5 a.m., kept it a surprise from my parents. My laptop couldn't run React, so I kept going with Figma and CS50.

  7. AT 18
    First client

    Two weeks after the bootcamp, before finishing high school.

  8. LATE 2022
    GUC and Timedoor

    Started Computer Science & Engineering at the German University in Cairo and began teaching at Timedoor. The first pay bought the M2 MacBook I still use.

  9. 2023–25
    Clients abroad

    eCaller in Canada, Darkmon in the UAE, Bytes AI in New York until its $6M pre-seed, Udacity mentoring, then Gates of Egypt.

  10. JUN 2025
    Cluj, 3rd in Europe

    A late invitation to IEEE Roboracer: first Schengen visas, the last embassy slot before Eid, an exam rescheduled. Then 1st in Germany and 3rd in Europe.

  11. SEP 2025
    Tawabiry launches

    After two years of building, our queue platform went live. Barbershops and clinics in Maadi first.

  12. NOV 2025
    RAVEN GP and customs

    Co-founded GUC's racing team, got into BFMC, and fought 80 days to clear the Bosch car. NTRA said yes on appeal; we built our own car anyway.

  13. 2026
    Thesis, Red Crescent, curriculum

    Thesis on HTN planning graded Excellent. Gaza operations with the Egyptian Red Crescent. Curriculum developer at Timedoor, AI trainer at micro1.

    Final year

    Lead organiser of Qiskit Fall Fest at GUC, teaching ICT Skills at AAST, and building.
